-FRAMING-

Attention: Framing is currently unavailable.

Photography is the art of framing light.

The quality of a photograph increases ten fold when put into a good frame. Wanting to create the best kind of framing for my photographs, I picked up woodworking and frame design. Each frame is individually handcrafted out of alder, a beautiful hardwood, and is available stained or oil finished. I've carefully considered what matte colors look great with each photograph, but custom design is available.

The Classic is a large frame and, as a result, it tends to dwarf small images. 11x14 photographs, however, look great in it. The frame is heavy and solid and is the favorite one that I make.

An 11x14 matted photograph in this one runs between $150 and $175 depending on the photograph. Prices are listed below each photograph in Galleries.

I call this one the squared frame because its joints are cut at 90 degree angles rather than at 45. This allows me to drop the top and bottom boards down a step to give the frame some depth and lets me bevel the outside edges of the left and right boards. I recommend this one for 8x10 matted photographs.

An 8x10 matted photograph in this frame runs between $109 and $125 depending on the photograph.

Prices are listed below each photograph in Galleries.

frame4a.jpg (15285 bytes)Classic2 frame4.jpg (16050 bytes)

This is the Classic Frame but with and irregular matte size. By trimming down the matte, I am able to utilize a larger proportion of the frame opening for the photograph. This makes the frame proportionally smaller than the Classic. I like to use full mattes with landscapes but like this one for simple images.

Matted photographs in this frame run between $109 and $175 depending on the photograph.

Prices are listed below each photograph in Galleries.

Normal frames are not handcrafted, but they're solid and well made. I recommend them for 8x10 photographs. This is the only frame that I offer that I do not make.

Matted photographs in this one run between $65 and $75 depending on the photograph.

Prices are listed below each photograph in Galleries.
